this is exactly what I was looking for, however I can't get it work.

so if you, or someone else, could help me a little bit, I'd be very thankful.

this is how I set up the module




I'd like to place a module in my footer, so here is what I do:

I go to the module manager, create a custom html module, choose the footer area for the module , then in the wysiwyg editor I press "module anywhere" and choose the module I wish to place.
The tag appears, but nothing appears in my website.

I then tried to place a module (a banner) within an article.
Here again, I can't see it.
But when I choose to edit the article I can see your tag {can't remember the name}.

Is there something I missed ?

I am not sure you get how Modules Anywhere works.
You should NOT use it to place a module in a module position. That's core functionality of Joomla.
With Modules Anywhere the module of your choise appears in the spot you place the tag.

The module only appears if it is published (unless you change the plugin setting to also place unpublished modules).
