I am looking for a way to either replace or remove component names that are displayed when viewing the source of a page. For example i'd like to either:

change com_name to com_regulator

or just remove it from showing up all together.

Basically I don't want people to see the component names I'm using.

This is something ReReplacer cannot do for you.
If you replace the component names in urls, the urls will not work anymore.

try looking into a SEF component that will make pretty urls for you.

Even then, you will still have some components that will not use sef urls and links to certain css and js files will still have the component name (in the html source).

My best advice is: save your energy and don't worry about it.
