I checked that the plugins are enabled and I tried switching to the [[ double brackets but still it appears that the plugin is not working. the frontend shows the {source} tags and the code as text instead of executing it.

Try selecting the code and open the Sourcerer Code Helper (editor) and re-insert the code...

That worked! Maybe there was other code in there and when I pasted as plain text it cleaned it out.

Yeah, in the older version it sometimes put in some html code that messed up the {source} tags.

I think I am having the same problem on my site. For the life of me I can not get the code to be parsed and show my affiliate ad from amazon. What am I doing wrong. Sourcer is enabled in my extension manager, both plugins that is. I am using it on a multi-page article with a read more insert. Not sure if that has somthign to do with it or not. Thanks in advance for any help.

So what code have you entered into the article (including the {source} tags)?

And what do you get in the html source output of your webpage?

I use JCE editor. I place the code in the editor window and it will ourput the code above just as it is. I also tried puting it in using code veiw unstead of the standard editor.

You mean you get the code in your editor like that? Or in the actual website?

It shows like this in both. I copied the above code from my editor but it looks the same on my website on the address above.

It is also messing the formating of my page up. My article text is running off the window as you can see. It displays correctly when I remove the SOURCE code snippet.

You have probably created this code with an older version of Sourcerer.

Please select the code, click the Sourcerer button and re-insert the code.

Tried what you said, which I already did yesterday. Sourcers outputed this. I have sourcer version 2.2.3 which is the latest version I thought. Tried it a couple of times so I think I have the code inserted 3 times in the article. Shows 2 of them and the other is at very top of article and can only see a little bit of {SOURCE} code. I kinda think some of my plugins could be messing with it but not sure. Guess I could disable some of them. If you notice my multi-page index is not working and my article text is not word wrapping correctly.

I removed the code and all the styles that where messing up the page. Then reinserted the code via the Sourcerer button. It seems to be fine now.

PS: You will still see the {source} tags and code if you use the Preview button. That is because that Joomla Preview button sucks. It doesn't execute any plugins that have effect on the content.

So you will have to open the page in your site to see if it is working.

Ok, hmm. Guess I will have to mess around with it some more. Guess some of the article syling is screwing it up then. I noticed it displays but doesn't show a picture. Possibly because I already have one displayed on that page. Thanks a lot though. You got me farther than I was able to get.

Have a look at the code actually being placed. Because it seems to only be a link... not an image tag.

I will play around with it through out the day. Im at work right now and need to start actually working . But you have proved to me that it does work. I will try some simpler code, and then try using my amazon snippet. Will update with my reults when I have some time. Thanks.

almost seems like it doesn't play very well with JCE editor, it keeps changing the code to look different. I almost had it working perfect. I will get it hopefully
