Hello Peter,

I was here getting the updated Modules In Content plugin (thank you!) and I noticed you have linked from the Demo button on JED directly to the Demo tab here.
http://www.nonumber.nl/modulesincontent?tab=demo

How are you doing the tab URL links?

I can see you are using the jch-tabs plugin.
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/style-&...-slides/3250/details
But there is not any mention of this feature.
And I have tested this plugin and do not see this function working.

Have you hacked the jch-tabs plugin?

If Yes, would it be possible to obtain this hacked version?

A couple months ago I went looking for a "linkable" tabs plugin or module for a client web site. They really wanted their sales people to be able to point potential customers directly to specific product page tabs. Good idea. Understandable why.

The only plugin I found which would work was a hacked Magic Tabs.
The downside to Magic Tabs is it requires another large JS library plugin in addition to the tabs plugin itself.
Speed issues, JS library conflict issues, etc., etc., etc.

I also found other users all over the planet looking for the same feature.
Lots of people looking for the same feature.

SO...your working URL-linked tabs caught my eye immediately.

Please share your solution!
Thanks.

Regards,

Ken McDonald

Hi Ken,

I have indeed hacked and battered jch-tabs quite a bit.
Not only to allow the linked tabs, but also to allow classnames so you can give them colors. Also there are quite some html output bugs in the original.

I can mail you the files I am using. I don't really know what I have actually altered. So there might be some hacks in there that are not very dynamic..
