hello

I try to find a solution for add/modify site description and meta-tag present in Global Configuration. In fact only Super Admin can change this..Admin can not...too bad..

I have try to find a module or other permitting maybe to do but it seem nothing is available...probably because is just impossible to do...

In fact I manage several Joomla where I am Super Admin but I want always give the maximum freedom to Admin according to they access right possibility...This especially for avoid me the hassle to make some job on they website if they can do that without asking me.. Sometime Admin find better meta keywords or want improve they site description and this weeks and month later first joomla install..Is quite annoying for me to always make this change for they...

I see you seem to be the best joomla admin module coder for make little and useful stuff...Maybe you can do a module like suggested ??

Cheers

Well, you have SEF and SEO components/plugins that can manage the meta tags.

The core meta tags are in the configuration - which you don't want Admins to access.
If you do want Admins to access the global configuration and have - like you say - maximum freedom... just make the Super Admins

Thank for reply...

No in fact I want avoid to give to them SA right.... When I say "maximum freedom" that mean to get only what they really need to see and change. I don't want allow them to touch in Global Setting...except for site description and metadata...

I know I can find some addons making possible for Admin to add metadata and also for make site description. Admin can of course also fill this infos for each article. In that case what I must fill inside Global Setting for site description and metadata ??? Just nothing ??...My only worry is to make a bad SEO if this 2 field are not filled. If am not wrong they are the principal setting used for the homepage. If they are empty what Google will show ?

thank

Well, you have a few plugins in which you can set the meta info. And those override the stuff you setup in the global config. So it then doesnt matter what you put in there.

But it would be wise to put something in there as a fall back (in case the plugin is disabled or something).
