TOPIC: Can't move article to top of menu

Can't move article to top of menu 1 Year, 10 Months ago
First of all let me thank you for a great (and time-saving) extension to Joomla.

I am developing a site where there are two editors writing articles. When we migrated to Joomla 1.5 I had to install AddToMenu so that they could go on working (more or less) the way they were used to
.
On this site there is a member section. When members log in they get extra articles that they can choose from UserMenu (which is only displayed to logged-in members). In the UserMenu the articles are grouped under parent items.

Now, when an editor wrote a recent article and used AddToMenu to add it to the parentItem "Jump" under UserMenu, it ended up being last (as default is)in that group.

The editor wanted the latest article to be FIRST so she tried to edit the order of the article to the value "1" and saved it by clicking on the little "floppyDisk" icon next to "Order" in the headlines of MenuManager. Even though the order now has the value "1", the article still displays LAST in its group under UserMenu?

Could this possibly be a ... bug? Or is she doing something wrong?

I have tried to "manually push" the article up and down by clicking on its small arrows next to the Order value, but nothing happens?

Where do you mean? On the frontend site?
What menu module are you using? Does that have some ordering setting that overrules the order?

I don't think this has anything to do with "Add to Menu".

Yes, on the frontend site. When I log on as a member I get the member's menu (UserMenu) and it contains those Parent Items including "Jump". Under Jump, however the latest article remains last even though I have changed its order value to "1".
It was a long shot to post the question on this forum, but the problem didn't occur until we started using the AddToMenu

You are probably right, it may have to do with Joomla itself...
Thanks for your extremely quick answer BTW!
