TOPIC: Start Publishing Module Parameter

Start Publishing Module Parameter 1 Year, 11 Months ago
Thanks for such an easy-to-install component!
I need to be able to set the start and end publishing dates for a module.
Using my test site, I set the start publishing date for a module and it didn't work.
I'm using this new start publishing parameter for our site "bulletins".
I have Joomla 1.5.15 (set to Legacy mode) and your Advanced Module Manager 1.5.0c.
I don't see where anyone else is reporting this problem.
Any idea?
Thanks so much!
Laurie

I'm sorry but I'm still not having any success with the start/end publishing parameters.
I've since installed v1.7.0, v1.7.2 and v1.8.0. Is it my system or is it working for you or others?
Thanks much.

It should work fine in version 1.8.0...
So what is the problem? Does the module show outside the selected dates? Or doesn't show inside the selected dates?
Can you give me admin access and point out what modules are the problem?

Re: Start Publishing Module Parameter 1 Year, 7 Months ago
i'm sorry, i never got a notice that you posted a reply. i've since installed v1.91 and tested the Date feature again and it's still not working for me. the problem is this, i have an alert bulletin module that i keep unpublished most of the time. the bulletin is assigned to several web pages. the Date option is set as follows: start publishing on 06/25/2010 and finish publishing on 06/26/2010. all of the other options are set to the defaul "All". the bulletin module never publishes. also, the calendar widget doesn't work and so maybe i'm not putting the date format in correctly. any help would be much appreciated.

Ah, the important info comes to the light
AAM does work with dates, it just doesn't work with your syntax.

If the calendar function isn't working, there must be some javascript error breaking stuff. That needs to be addressed... can you give me admin access?

The date needs to be in a format the database understands. The calendar function returns that format. Typically it is this format: yyyy-mm-dd
So for June 26th do: 2010-06-26
