Your update has not gone well. Try to update again and check the AMM plugin to see if the right version number is there.

If you have problems installing, you might need to do it manually. See the INSTALL.txt in the zip.

I tested this. warning and notice is hidden, but 'Also on child items' dot work.

it's work only if i select (with Ctrl) all child items. in version 1.8.5 this option worked.

i have it working on my site
Is this child items of K2 categories? Or normal categories?

I tested only k2 category.
