Would you consider adding a possibility to filter the module management on IP address?

Might be included some day. But you can achieve virtually anything that is not already an assignment option by using the PHP field. Then you only need to know the correct PHP code for what you want to check on.
This should work on most setups (to only show on ip 1.2.3.4):
return ( $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] == '1.2.3.4' );
