Didn't Install 1 Year, 5 Months ago  
I tried to install better preview in a Joomla 1.5 site. I got the following errors:

JFolder::create: Could not create directory
JInstaller::install: Failed to create directory "/home/megapain/public_html/plugins/system/betterpreview"

What do I need to do?

The administrator has disabled public write access.

probably you have to strict directory permissions on your folders.

Go to you menu in Joomla to: Help >> System info >> Directory Permissions.
All these should be writable. Best is to set the permissions to 755.

You can do that with your ftp program.
