I've just installed it, and I press "Clean cache", it says "Cache cleaned", but my cache folder is still full...
What could be the problem?

Is your cache folder also still full if you try to empty it the conventional way?
- (Administrator menu) Tools >> Clean Cache
- Select all
- Delete

Sorry for late response (I didn't get email notification).
Yes, after I click "Clean Cache", and it says "Cache Cleaned", I go to Tools->Clean cache and everything is still there.
Typically, when there aren't a lot of stuff in the cache folder, I'm able to clean it with the "clean cache" button. Other wise, I have to do it from the tools menu, or clean the folder through FTP

Email notification probably got into spam.
Anyway, weird behavior. You are the first and only person that has reported this.
So I tend to think it has something to do with your setup.
The Clean Cache button should do the same as when you clean the cache via the menu option.
I am not sure how to troubleshoot this...

hmmm... I think I observed a similar behavior, but not with Clean Cache, but with Joomla! itself. Not sure which configuration parameters could be wrong or which other extensions could cause it. But it is for the first time that I felt it disturbing to have this cache during the development time - even though I disabled the J! cache before. I did not try to check the reason and just wrote a little PHP script that deletes everything in the folder /cache whenever I started it. But, yours is the better alternative.
I also tried several plugins that compress the JavaScript and CSS files. I know that it caused some weird behavior in the frontend, but maybe they also influence the admin backend.

I think this might have something to do with the size of the cache? I am having the same problem, says cache cleaned, but there were over 20,000 file in the cache. I was able to manually clean the cache using the admin tools.

It is on my todo list to look into this.
What might help is just press the clean cache icon a few times.

Cache Cleaner kinda does the same as the standard clean cache via the admin menu does.. so it might indeed timeout or something when cache is to big.
As said before: It is on my todo list to look into this.

Hello,
for testing, I cleaned the cache with the standard method, just one minute before, then I navigate through 2 or 3 pages, I display the cache : ( just a few files are cached ) , then I clean the cache with your button : I get the message "cache cleaned", then display the cache again : files are still in the cache, so it's not a problem with the number of cached files.
regards
Alain
