cache cannot be cleaned 2 Years, 4 Months ago  
Hi,
I am very happy to get such a functionnality but when clicking on the icon on the admin side, I have a message "cache cannot be clean".
I have "easytoolbar" installed and perhaps there is a compatibility problem with it?

This might be due to permission rights on the cache folder.
Are you able to clean the cache using the normal core Tools >> Clean Cache?

yes, this menu functions without any problem.
Cache is chmod to 777

Then I think there is a Javascript error stopping Cache Cleaner from doing it's thing.
Try to find that out (FireFox).
Or can you give me admin access?

Hi,
I am a little bit late to answer to your question... sorry.
In fact, when hovering on the clean cache icon, the adress displayed (on the status bar) is always the adresse of the current page (the page open on the backend).

Yes, that address is fine. The action is on the onclick.

Try emptying the cache folder via ftp first. Maybe it is just much to large for Joomla to handle.
Cache leaner will help you to not let it get so big.

Peter,
I am running Cache Cleaner 1.1.1 and I too get the message Cache could not be cleaned.
When checking the rights, I have made sure these are all fine.

Any other suggestions?

This will be your browsers cache causing problems.
The new version has some changes in the js file.
So make sure you clean the browsers cache and refresh the admin page.
