Cache Cleaner

It has not cleaned some folders and contents under the cache folder.

Advice appreciated.

Take a look at the permissions on the cache folder (and sub folders).
Does all get removed if you click the Clean Cache button a few times?
Does all get removed if you use the 'normal' way to clean cache (via Joomla menu)

It would appear I need to set the cache AND all subfolders to 777. Is this right and safe? Do they normally get created with the appropriate permissions?

If you have the ftp layer on, you wouldn't need to turn them to 777. Otherwise -> yes.

Does not clean all of the cache 2 Years, 2 Months ago  
I am having the same problem, if I use the clear cache button then I do not see all the cache being cleaned. The cache entry marked "page" persists and has to be cleaned manually.

Any thoughts?
