Hello,
Could you please add an option for a hint or message. A text notice, that asks the user if he really wants to insert the template content. Maybe a warning that selected content is deleted and replaced.

Maybe this could be turned ON/OFF in the preferences. Maybe it should have a customizable text.

(I don´t know if you plan to differentiate between snippets and whole templates?! )

IMHO the user could be confused by the "adhoc" insertion. Or could delete something accidently.

Good idea. I will probably implement that in next release.

PS: You can always use ctrl-z to undo the insertion of the template.

Just to make it clear, you can turn that feature on/off in the plugin (editors-xtd)
