The web site says go to the forums to learn more. We'll i'm here, and it all seems like advanced topics, and no basics.

Anybody suggest links to basics?

The info on the website is pretty basic. And all the options in the component have tooltips explaining what they are for.

What do you need to know?

How to generate a new article using the template.

how to link to that article.

Are their automatic url listings (like "more..." would get you to a known page, or do i have to generate that as well.

I don't think Content Templater is what you expect it to be.

After making a template, you can choose that template when creating an article.
The content you have in the template will be placed in the editor of your new article.
Then you go on with editing the article to how you want it and save it.

So it loads the predefined 'snippet' into your article whilst editing it.

If the template is used multiple times, is there a way to get the times stacked on top of each other?

If you mean if you can load a template multiple times into an article, yes.

Why don't you just install it and play around with it. See how it works. That's a lot faster than trying to explain everything.

Peter,

Thanks very much for your help. I've already downloaded it and played around. After a while, i got the hang of it.

it was hard to find the "template" at the bottom of the artical. After that it got better. Also, i have an example site that uses "catigory blog" to get a list of item.

Thanks again for helping out.

Tom
